Nans, an ode to the Mediterranean essence

Bover expands its 2022 collection with Nans, an extensive range of luminaires. Nans represents a distinctive design concept within Bover’s new outdoor catalogue, yet with versatility that also fits indoor spaces — featuring colourful shades, handcrafted in fibre with a new, more open weave.

In the words of designer Joana Bover herself:

“I wanted to create an outdoor product that could also work indoors — with gentle, rounded forms that suggest femininity. Light in outdoor spaces, where we spend so many hours, also deserves to be of quality: soft and comfortable.”

The wide collection is organised into three families — Nans, Nans Sphere, and Nans Portable — and offers multiple applications: suspension, catenary, hang, ceiling, wall, table, and portable versions, with over 150 references available.

The braiding of the shades, made from flat synthetic fibre, is entirely new to the brand’s catalogue. It provides key advantages both in the manual weaving process and in the variety of colour options, as well as in durability and easy maintenance.

Nans embodies an essentially Mediterranean style, where the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces blur, grounded in respect for nature and the human touch that defines every design.
